Seaholm Celebrates 18 College-Bound Athletes
Birmingham, MI – 18 members of the Seaholm High School class of 2026 will continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Seaholm hosted a ceremony today to recognize these outstanding student-athletes. Joined by teammates, these Maples were able to thank their parents, coaches, teachers, teammates and friends for supporting them on this journey.

Sami Allen will be taking her talents to Kalamazoo College to play softball next year. A standout leader on the diamond, Sami served as a captain during her senior year and earned All-OAA and All-District honors as a junior. Recognized by the Detroit News All-Metro team and Hometown Life All-Area team, she also earned the “Going Yard” award for her power at the plate. Sami heads to Kalamazoo with a clear mindset, noting that “success starts with spectacular effort.” Sami was not able to attend the ceremony. The Seaholm softball team had a makeup game this afternoon with a league title on the line. In her characteristic selfless manner, Sami was with her team this afternoon and was instrumental in their success earning the league title.
Eden Bishai is headed to Kalamazoo College to join their golf program. A four-year varsity athlete and senior captain, Eden led the team to the MHSAA LP Girls D2 Golf Finals in 2025 after an impressive performance as the Regional Individual Runner-Up. A consistent OAA Scholar Athlete, she is ready for the next chapter: “I’m extremely grateful that God has given me the opportunity to continue to do what I love most. Can’t wait to see what my future in Kalamazoo holds!”
Rocío Elena Brantley-Arráiz will continue her track and field career at Kalamazoo College, specializing in shotput and discus. A four-year varsity athlete, Rocío is a two-time regional runner-up and a two-time field event award winner. Having served as a team captain for two years, she brings a resilient philosophy to her collegiate career: “Lose or win, don’t live there—keep going.”
Miles Coe is set to play lacrosse for Trine University next fall. Miles has been a dedicated multi-sport athlete at Seaholm, earning the OAA Scholar Athlete award four times across both the football and lacrosse programs. He is eager to transition to the college game, stating, “I’m ready to leave it all on the field at Trine University playing the game I love. Go Thunder!”
Matteo Daja will be joining the soccer program at Richard J. Daley College. With an extensive background in leadership, Matteo is a six-time captain and a two-time top scorer who has led his teams to five tournament victories. Known for his versatility and team-first mentality, he believes that “the best thing about playing soccer is playing and winning as a team.”
Katie Drouillard has committed to play soccer for St. Francis University. A three-year varsity player and senior captain, Katie was named Defensive Player of the Year in both 2023 and 2025, while also earning All-District and All-League honors. A dedicated scholar-athlete, she reflects on her journey: “Soccer has taught me hard work and commitment. I’m excited to keep growing on and off the field at St Francis University.”
Olivia Hoegler is moving on to the Butler University Dance Team. During her three years on the varsity squad, Olivia was named an All-American and earned both “Rookie of the Year” and the “Most Versatile Dance Award.” For Olivia, the sport is about personal growth: “Dance has taught me hard work and dedication. I’m so excited to keep growing as a dancer and student at Butler University.”
Patrick Jack Hughes has committed to play both football and baseball at Hope College. A decorated leader, Patrick served as captain for both sports and received the Nick Deane Leadership Award in 2025. On the football field, he finished as the third all-time leading QB rusher at Seaholm. “I am very excited about continuing both my athletic and academic career at Hope College and am grateful to the Seaholm community for its tremendous support. Go Mapes for life!”
Lucy Jen will continue her dominant tennis career at Hope College. Lucy’s time at Seaholm was marked by incredible success, including being a part of two MHSAA Division 2 Team State Championships and winning individual state titles in both 4 Doubles and 3 Doubles. A 2025 All-State athlete and two-year captain, Lucy says, “I love tennis for the independence and accountability it demands. Every point is mine to fight for, and I’m so excited to continue my career at Hope College.”
Addyson Kitzman is headed to Wellesley College to play soccer. A member of the National Honor Society and a four-year OAA Scholar Athlete, Addy also served as the MVP and Captain of the Seaholm basketball team. Her soccer accolades include a Girls Academy League Talent ID selection and being named to the Free Press All-North team. She looks forward to the balance of college life: “I am so excited for Wellesley because it will challenge me academically, while still allowing me to play soccer for the next four years.”
Max Kruger will be joining the football program at Adrian College. Max was a force on the line for Seaholm, earning two All-OAA and All-District selections, as well as being named Lineman of the Year. A varsity captain, Max values the culture of the sport, noting, “The best part about football is the brotherhood, culture, and competing for something bigger than yourself.”
Kate Latek is joining the Indiana University Dance Team. A three-year varsity member and 2025 UDA All-American, Kate has consistently balanced high-level performance with academic success as a scholar-athlete. She is eager to bring her talent to Bloomington: “I am beyond grateful to be continuing my athletic and academic career at Indiana University! I cannot wait to share my passion with new people!”
Nate Mulligan has committed to play baseball for Glen Oaks Community College. A two-year varsity pitcher, Nate was a key part of the 2025 OAA Blue League Championship team. He looks back fondly on his time in the program: “I will forever be grateful for the Seaholm Baseball Program and all that they have done for me. I’m excited for the future of my baseball career!”
Caitlin Olivia O’Guin is headed to Bryant University to play lacrosse. One of the top recruits in the country, Caitlin is a New Balance All-American and was ranked as a Top 60 player nationally in the 2026 class. An IWLCA Player of the Week and Academic All-American nominee, Caitlin is one of the most decorated lacrosse players to come through the Seaholm program.
Adrianna Papadomanolakis will be joining the cheerleading squad at Lawrence Tech University. An OAA Scholar who has shown immense dedication to her sport throughout high school, Adrianna is looking forward to the next level of competition: “I’m really excited to attend Lawrence Tech for this new chapter in my life. I am happy to have this opportunity to continue cheering.”
Carter Richmond has committed to the swim and dive team at Kalamazoo College. Carter has been a versatile leader at Seaholm, serving as senior captain for both the swim and dive and water polo teams. An All-State swimmer in the 200 Medley Relay and a regional qualifier in diving, he looks forward to the collegiate atmosphere: “I am very excited to be challenged academically and athletically and meet new people at Kalamazoo College!”
Elliot Rijnovean is taking his elite swimming talents to Indiana University. One of the most decorated swimmers in Seaholm history, Elliot is an 8-time State Champion, a 10-time All-American, and was named MISCA “Mr. Swim” in 2025. Holding multiple state and school records, he moves to IU with gratitude: “I am honored to be a part of Indiana’s legendary swim and dive program. Thank you to everyone who helped me to get here.”
Annalise Toma is set to join the University of Miami (FL) Dance Team. As a senior captain, Annalise led her team to an undefeated regional season in jazz and a bronze medal at UDA Nationals. A UDA All-American and winner of the “Heart of the Team” award, she approaches her future with a resilient motto: “Grow through what you go through.”
