Allen & Nursey Each Hit Homers, Bush Picks Up Second Win of the Season
The Maples delivered a dominant performance Monday, defeating Clawson 16-1 behind a standout offensive showing from Sami Allen. Allen drove in four runs on three hits, including two doubles and a solo home run, leading the Seaholm attack.
Seaholm set the tone early, erupting for multiple runs in the first inning before breaking the game open with a nine-run second. Contributions came from across the lineup, including key hits from Leah Stanford, Lois Cortez, Gigi Hill, and Lila Nursey, who added a two-run homer off the brick of the Aux gym.
In the circle, Adele Bush (2-0) earned the win with two scoreless innings, allowing no hits while striking out five. Seaholm’s offense totaled 11 hits, while also aggressively running the bases with 11 stolen bags.
Seaholm will face Marian in a doubleheader on Thursday.
