Baseball Splits Home Opener

The Seaholm Maples took the field for the first time this year under new management, Coach Mike Nahtygal.
In game 1, Liam McDonald started on the bump. Ian Evert hit the ball deep for his first home run as Maple. Maples lost game one 5-1.
In game 2, Ian Evert was the starting pitcher. Aaron Van De Mark hit the ball deep for a two run homer. This was Aaron’s first home run for the Maples. Maples clung on to their lead and won 4-3.
Maples saw 5 pitchers today; Liam McDonald and Patrick Hughes in game 1 and Ian Evert, Nate Mulligan and Ian Glass in game 2.
Congrats Maples – next game is Wednesday at home vs Berkley at 4:30pm.
