Seaholm Takes Game 1 in Series Against North Farmington
Seaholm Varsity Maples earned a 10-3 win Monday behind a standout all-around performance from Patrick Hughes.
Hughes went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with four singles and added three stolen bases as the Maples totaled 11 hits. He also tossed a complete game on the mound, allowing three runs, two earned, over seven innings while striking out four.
Seaholm answered an early deficit with a big second inning, taking the lead behind RBI singles from Keegan Jordan and Nick Davis.
Davis drove in three runs while going 2-for-3, and Aaron Van De Mark added two hits. Liam McDonald also contributed with a sacrifice fly in the third inning as Seaholm continued to build its lead.
The Maples stayed aggressive on the bases with five stolen bases and turned a double play defensively.
