Maples Fall in DH vs Berkley Despite Strong Relief Pitching
Maples lost both games in the double header against the Berkley Bears. Maples couldn’t get their bats going.
The Game 1 Final Score was 0-7, and game 2 was 1-8.
In Game 1, Ethan DeWolfe provided strong relief, tossing 3.0 innings while allowing just 1 earned run, walking none, and striking out 1 batter.
In Game 2, sophomore Ian Glass delivered an impressive outing in relief, working 2.1 innings with 1 earned run, 1 walk, and a standout 5 strikeouts. Junior Liam McDonald followed with a scoreless inning of relief, striking out 2 batters without issuing a walk.
Offensively, sophomore Jack Zimmer contributed with a 1-for-2 performance, adding a stolen base and a walk.

Maples will head to Vero Beach on Monday for some sunshine and baseball.
The season resumes on April 8 when Seaholm hosts Davison.
