Team USA Hockey player Vincent Trocheck attended Seaholm High School in 2008 as a sophomore.  Originally from the Pittsburgh area, Trocheck moved to Detroit to play for the Little Caesars U16 team.  During this time, he attended Seaholm.

His time as a Maple was brief.  After his season with Little Caesars, he moved on to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).  From there Trocheck began his NHL career:

  • Florida Panthers (2013–2020): Drafted by Florida in 2011, he spent the first seven seasons of his career there and served as an alternate captain.
  • Carolina Hurricanes (2020–2022): He was traded to the Hurricanes mid-season in February 2020 and played there for over two seasons.
  • New York Rangers (2022–present): He signed with the Rangers as a free agent in July 2022 and is currently an alternate captain for the team.

Even though his time at BPS was brief, Seaholm is proud to call Vincent Trocheck a Maple!
