Boys Lacrosse Honors Class of 2026 – Senior Night
The Birmingham United Bulldogs celebrated the careers of six remarkable student-athletes and their parents. The 2026 Senior Night ceremony honored the dedication, leadership, and future aspirations of a group that has grown up within the program.
Meet the Seniors
- Noah Bigelman (#11): A team captain accompanied by his parents, Sharone and Joe. Bigelman, who counts a game-winning goal against Lake Orion as his top memory, will attend Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business this fall.
- Dylan Brand (#12): Joined by his parents, Andrea and Neal, Brand noted that winning the Regional title last year was his favorite moment on the field. He is set to study at the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering.
- Miles Coe (#22): Accompanied by Kelly and Ryan, Coe expressed gratitude to Coach Garrett for introducing him to the sport in 2nd grade. He will continue his athletic career at Trine University, where he plans to play lacrosse and study Civil Engineering.
- Caleb Garrett (#5): A captain and second-generation Bulldog, Caleb was joined by his parents Amy and Gregg. Garrett was recognized as a 2026 MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award Finalist. He will join the University of Michigan’s College of Engineering in the fall.
- Alec Rothweil (#16): Walked with his parents, Laurie and Andrew. Rothweil highlighted the brotherhood of his teammates and summer practices with alumni as his favorite memories. Following graduation, he will be enlisting in the U.S. Navy.
- Conrad Swanson (#25): The team’s captain and goalie was accompanied by his parents, Beth and Tom. After a career highlighted by the team’s spring break trips to Florida, Swanson will head to Michigan State University to study civil engineering.
A Legacy of Dedication
For many of these seniors, the journey with Birmingham United began in elementary school. Their contributions have left a lasting mark on the program, transitioning them from teammates to soon-to-be Bulldog Alumni.
The evening served as a final round of applause for their hard work and the camaraderie and memories that defined their twelve-year journey together.
Senior Night Fireworks: Bulldogs Shine Despite Hard-Fought Loss to Blue Devils
BIRMINGHAM, MI – Emotions were high and the energy was electric at Birmingham on Tuesday night as the United Bulldogs celebrated Senior Night in a non-league clash against long-time rival Grosse Pointe South. While the scoreboard favored the Blue Devils in the final minutes, the night belonged to the Bulldog seniors and a Birmingham offense that looked every bit the OAA Red Division Tournament Champions.
Coming off their big tournament win this past Saturday, Birmingham (7-7) entered the contest with momentum, looking to honor their six seniors before heading into the regional playoffs next week.
Offensive Explosion Led by Feldmaier
The Bulldogs’ offense was firing on all cylinders for three quarters, anchored by a massive performance from Brody Feldmaier. Feldmaier was nearly unstoppable, finding the back of the net six times.
The scoring started early with James Liebler and Caleb Garrett putting Birmingham up 2-0 in the first three minutes. The Bulldogs showcased a balanced attack throughout the game, with Will Forberg netting two goals and Bigelman adding another.
Defensive Highlights & Senior Leadership
The story of the night, however, was the transition game and the play of the seniors.
- Conrad Swanson (Senior Goalie): Swanson was a force in the crease, making critical saves against a potent GPS attack. His vision was on full display in the second quarter when he made a big save, cleared the ball himself, and ignited an offensive set that resulted in a Feldmaier goal.
- Nick Holcomb (Defenseman): Holcomb put on a clinic in clearing. He repeatedly broke through the Blue Devils’ ride, including a spectacular end-to-end run in the first quarter to assist Feldmaier. Holcomb finished the night with two assists, a rare and impressive feat for a defenseman.
Game Summary
The Bulldogs held a commanding rhythm through the mid-game. After a back-and-forth first half, Birmingham dominated the third quarter. James Liebler, Will Forberg, and Brody Feldmaier all scored to give the Bulldogs a surge of momentum heading into the final frame.

Looking Ahead to Regionals
The Bulldogs don’t have long to dwell on the result. With the regular season winding down, the focus now shifts entirely to the post-season.
Next Game: Birmingham will host St. Clair on May 18th for the first round of Regional play. Because the first few rounds of the tournament are hosted by Seaholm, the team will compete on their home field, and they are poised for a deep run.
Congratulations to our six seniors on a fantastic career representing both Groves and Seaholm High Schools!
